OOTD- SUNDAY EDITION

TODAY'S OUTFIT OF THE DAY IS ACTUALLY A SUNDAY EDITION. THIS PARTICULAR OUTFIT WOULD BE SOMETHING THAT YOU WEAR TO CHURCH, COURT, BUSINESS DINNER ETC. THIS PICTURE IS ACTUALLY A FEW YEARS OLD BUT I STILL LOVE THIS OUTFIT. ITS A VERY CLASSIC, SIMPLE LOOK. THE SHIRT IS A WHITE 3/4 SLEEVE FITTED BUTTON UP THAT CAN ACTUALLY BE WORN SEVERAL WAYS BECAUSE IT HAS LONG FLAPS AT THE BOTTOM BUT FOR THE SAKE OF THIS LOOK I TUCKED THEM IN. IT WAS PURCHASED AT RAVE FOR $5 ON A CLEARANCE SALE. THE SKIRT IS A BLACK FITTED PENCIL SKIRT THAT I PURCHASED AT BODY SHOP A FEW YEARS AGO FOR ABOUT $10 (AS YOU CAN TELL IM A BARGAIN SHOPPER LOL) THIS SKIRT CAN BE WORN WITH A WIDE BELT OR A THIN ONE BECAUSE IT HAS TWO SETS OF BELT LOOPS. IN THIS CASE, I HAVE ON A PATENT LEATHER WAIST BELT AND THE MATCHING PEEP-TOE PATENT LEATHER HEELS. I DIDNT REALLY WEAR ACCESSORIES OTHER THAN STUD EARRINGS BECAUSE I DIDNT FEEL THE OUTFIT NEEDED IT. THIS OUTFIT IS MORE IDEAL FOR THE MORE CURVY-FIGURED WOMAN AND DOESNT LOOK AS FLATTERING ON STRAIGHT OR SQUARE SHAPED FIGURES. IF YOU WANT A DETAILED DESCRIPTION ON WHAT SKIRTS LOOK GOOD ON WHAT FIGURES JUST HIT ME UP WITH A MESSAGE AND ILL DO A POST. ALRIGHT LADIES, ENJOY........

Sensual Indian Remi Collection

after its been washed and product added. 14in #1
this is the dry afro look. it is sew in and its an 8in
Today's product review is for the Sensual Indian Remi Collection-jerry curl. I actually love this hair and I recommend it every chance I get. I normally wear this hair as a sew in. It is very easy to shampoo and maintain. When it originally comes in the pack it is straight but if you wet it it curls up. I use several products to maintain this hair depending on the look Im going for. For a wetter looking curl I use jerri curl activator and mousse. For a drier, afro type of curl I use Mixed Chicks. Once you've worn it curly if you want it straight again I suggest shampooing, then blow drying and then flat ironing. I definitely recommend that you also use some sort of heat protectant. This hair is relatively affordable depending on your budget. It runs anywhere from $35-$50 a pack depending on the length. If you live in St Pete this hair can be purchased at Fat Boys Beauty Supply. If you live in Tampa it can be purchased at King's Beauty Supply on Busch blvd. It is also available in a body wave and indian wave but the jerri curl, by far, is my favorite. It is available in the basic colors #1,#1b, #2, #4. Anything lighter than this you would have to color it yourself, which shouldnt be a problem because this hair colors very easily. Alright let me know how you like it, divas. Enjoy.........
the hair in its straight form. i manually curled it at the end with a big barrel curling iron.
this 14&16in in #1b

OOTD- YELLOW SUN DRESS

TODAY'S OUTFIT OF THE DAY IS A YELLOW SUN DRESS THAT WAS PURCHASED FROM PAPAYA LAST YEAR FOR ABOUT $20. THE TOP PART OF THE DRESS IS A MUSTARD YELLOW AND IS MORE OF A STRETCHY POLYESTER/COTTON BLEND. THE BOTTOM OF THE DRESS IS DUCK YELLOW AND IT IS LINEN MATERIAL. IF YOU ARE TALL THIS IS THE PERFECT DRESS BECAUSE IT IS LONG AND I KNOW MOST TALLER WOMEN HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING LONG SUN DRESSES. I ADDED A BLACK ELASTIC WAIST BELT TO BREAK UP THE DEMENSION OF THE DRESS SO IT DOES NOT LOOK SO LONG. I AM WEARING BLACK SANDALS WITH A BIG RHIMESTONE ON THE TOP. AS FAR AS ACCESSORIES IM WEARING A MULTI-CHAIN NECKLACE THAT WAS $10 AT WET SEAL, PEARL EARRINGS AND A SILVER FITTED BANGLE. PERFECT OUTFIT FOR A SUMMER DAY. ENJOY LADIES.......

SHORT HAIR STYLING OPTIONS

I HAVE FOUND THAT WITH THE TYPE OF HAIR CUT I HAVE IT IS EASY TO DO DIFFERENT STYLES. WHICH IS CRAZY BECAUSE WHEN MY HAIR WAS LONG I FELT LIKE WITH SHORT HAIR I WOULDNT HAVE MUCH VERSATILITY. IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE OPPOSITE. WITH MY SCHEDULE AS OF LATE, I HAVE BEEN PRETTY MUCH ROCKING THE SAME STYLE. JUST BECAUSE IT MADE LIFE SIMPLE. THIS PAST SATURDAY NIGHT I DECIDED TO SWITCH THINGS UP WITH A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ROLLER SET. ROLLER SETS ARE MY FAVORITE THING TO DO NO MATTER WHAT THE LENGTH OF MY HAIR IS. IT JUST SEEMS TO MAKE THINGS SIMPLE FOR ABOUT A WEEK. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING A SHORT CUT WAY TO DO ROLLER SETS,GO TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL KINGDOM BEAUTY(SIMPLY PUT) AND I HAVE SEVERAL TUTORIALS ON ROLLER SETS. WELL, FOR THIS ONE IT WAS THE SAME CONCEPT JUST SHORTER HAIR AND SMALLER ROLLERS. IM POSTING PICS BELOW SO YOU CAN SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT. IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS JUST HIT ME UP. BY THE WAY, THIS STYLE WILL LAST ME FOR ABOUT A WEEK. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IT MIGHT LAST LONGER BUT I HAVE NEVER WORN IT FOR LONGER THAN THAT SO ALL I CAN SPEAK FOR IS A WEEK LOL. ALRIGHT LADIES ENJOY.......

PRODUCT REVIEW......ORGANIC NATURAL (ON NATURAL HAIR)

Now that I'm natural, anybody that really knows me, knows that I will probably be collecting more products than I should. I'm just curious when it comes to this kind of stuff so I'm sure Ill have my fair share of reviews to do. Today's review is for the product ON- Organic Natural. I have a sample size of the bottle and from what the girl at the store tells me that's all the company sells for this product. Anyway its to create curls or waves for natural and synthetic weaves but I wanted to try it for my natural hair and it worked great. I used it yesterday when I first purchased it but I already had product on my hair so I couldn't tell how well it worked. So this morning I shampooed and deep conditioned my hair and I applied it to my wet hair and it worked great. My hair looks wet but it is completely dry. The curls lasted all day and it doesn't feel like a lot of product in my hair. Which is good because Mixed Chicks leaves it a little crispy. It smells really fresh and clean also. Not greasy at all. This product comes in three different formulas but the formula I used was avocado. It also contains shea butter, aloe vera, olive, jojoba and vitamin e.  I purchased this at King's Beauty Supply in Tampa for two dollars which is an excellent price but the down side to that is after a few uses(literally three) the bottle is almost gone. That is absolutely my only complaint with this product. If anyone knows where to purchase a regular size bottle please let me know. So basically, I give this product 5 stars! If you have kinky-curly coarse hair like mine your hair will love this product. Enjoy.........................

HAIR UPDATE...I'M NATURAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So a few days ago I randomly did the big chop. No specific reason. I had more than one reason for wanting to do it but not one in particular that made me come to this conclusion. I was just sick of the hair routine of trying to figure out what I was going to do every week. I was tired of doing my hair. I was bored with my hair and being natural was the one thing I haven't experienced yet so..............I cut it all off. I must say unless you are extremely confident, this is not the thing to do. It definitely shook me for a few days but by day 4, I was extremely in love with it. And I still am. I will say that I think I know my hair on a more personal level now. I have always done my own hair since I was twelve years old but I never knew that my hair was this texture under all those relaxers and weaves. I had no clue what I was in for. My hair does have a nice curl pattern but it is equally as nappy. I put a softener on it originally but my natural hair is very coarse and stubborn so that did me no good. I had to come up with a regimen which I will explain in another blog but that's the only way my hair looks decent. I have to manipulate it while its wet. Meaning, I wet it, comb it all the way through and then I add product that I know will hold it in place. That product is a mixture of things I created myself. Its really working for me. So anyway its been exactly a week today since I did it but I will keep you posted on color, products and whatever other weird experiments and finds that I come up with. Enjoy......................

MLK DAY MAKEUP!!!

I used so many colors for this look that there is no way I could post the process and I didnt do a tutorial this time. I just thought it would be nice to post the pics. This is a duplicate, sort of remix look that I got from LaCinda on Youtube. It was her Valentine's Day look. So if you want sort of an idea of how to do it you can look there. Its not exactly the same because I put my own spin on it but you will get the point. I hope you enjoy........

MOHAWK SHAWTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Hey everyone I'm back with another styling option for short hair, the mohawk. As long as your hair is reasonably short, this hairstyle is very easy to do and takes very little effort. Honestly, this is my "go to" hair style when I'm too lazy to do my hair or I'm short on time. Once Ive shampooed my hair, I make sure I follow up with a conditioner because with all the coloring and relaxing I do, my hair is starting to dry out a little.<<<< But that's another blog entry lol.  Anyway, once Ive finished conditioning my hair I blow dry it about halfway dry. I then take a little foaming lotion or wrap lotion and smooth all my sides up. I hate sitting under the dryer so after I smooth up the side I add a little oil or grease and tie it down for about an hour(usually while I'm getting dressed). Once I think that it has set I untie it and take my small flat iron or curling iron and begin to bump all of the hair in the middle going inward so that the curls are all facing the middle of my head. I do that all the way to the top of my head and once I'm finished, I run my fingers through the curls to finger comb them so they don't look so "set". This particular style will last me anywhere from a week to two weeks and I only have to bump it about every three or four days. I love this style and its super easy. I find that I can dressed it up or punk it out. It is very versatile. So if you want to change up your cut for a while this might be the style for you. Alright ladies enjoy..........

THIS IS AN OLD PIC OF A SIMILIAR MOHAWK I HAD FROM THE BACK SO YOU CAN SEE HOW IT LOOKS BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE ANY RECENT ONES FROM THE BACK.
