DRAMATIC LOOK OF THE WEEK!!!!!

I am so excited about this look. This is dedicated to my sister Keshia who wanted to see a teal/blue look for mother's day. Since I already have so many blue looks posted already I decided to feature this look a my first Dramatic Look Of The Week collection. Not to worry ladies and gents I'm am not walking the streets with this much makeup on lol, it is just for the sake of the blog entry. Cant find the right foundation? CHECK THIS OUT......

So last week I started a series about finding the right foundation for you. As promised for the rest of this month, once a week, I'm going to feature a foundation. Last week it was L'oreal's TrueMatch.  This week the foundation recommendation is Revlon's Colorstay with softflex comfort technology. I have been waiting all week to do this blog entry. All I can say is WOW! This is hands down the best foundation I have ever used. I am not a fan of liquid foundation but I can honestly say this is it. It gives full coverage without giving that "casket ready" look. It does not rub off on everything and when I wear it my skin can breathe, I forget that I have it on. Not to mention the fantastic oil control. So after a week of use, this is now my daily foundation of choice. I was sleeping on this for a long time but I'm glad I found it now. I have heard that Revlon's other foundations are just as good and when I try them I will be sure to let ya'll know. Now as far as matching this foundation up to your skin it can be tricky. It took me twenty minutes to decide which was the best choice. For dark skinned women we have three choices. Cappuccino, Mocha, or Mahogany. They each come in the choice of dry skin or combination/oily skin. With Cappuccino it has a lot of red tones to it. So even though dark skinned women can wear it I wouldn't because I don't like the whole red thing with my foundations. Mahogany on the other hand has no red tones to it at all. Which is a little to ashy looking for my skin. Mocha is the middle man of the two which is the color I use. It even looks a little reddish when you first apply it but once it dries it is the perfect match for me. I apply this foundation with an item I got from JoAnn's Fabrics for thirty five cents, called a shellac sponge. Whatever you use to apply it please make sure to use a little water also. It will give a natural look as opposed to that painted on look. If its a brush wet the tip a little, if its a sponge dip the ends. Bad split ends and lots of hair breakage? CHECK THIS OUT.......

Right now I am wearing braids to protect my hair from the wear and tear of summer weather and styling but when I am wearing my own hair out this is a product that I must have. The product? Dove Damage Therapy shampoo and conditioner. I started using this product about six months ago because I started experiencing lots of hair breakage that seemed to be out of my control. After using this product for a month and a half I noticed a huge difference. Healthier hair, fewer split ends and a change in texture. This product can be found at Walmart, Walgreens or any dollar store. The price varies depending on location but I think the average price is about five dollars a bottle. Makeup Look of the Day.... Pink And Purple

Today's makeup look was achieved using BH Cosmetics matte palette and the HIP sculpted duo palette. It is way too complicated to explain today so I wont even attempt to try lol. For my foundation I used Revlon ColorStay in mocha. I used TrueMatch for my blush and I used Revlon Mineral Foundation for a highlight. Makeup Look of the Day (BH Cosmetics)

The look for today is once again using Bh Cosmetics matte and neutral palette. It is a very simple look for those who aren't familiar with make up yet. I simply used a coral color out of the matte palette for the base of my eyelid. Then I used a dark brown from the neutral palette in my crease and blended it up into my brow bone. I used Revlon ColorStay in mocha for my foundation. I used TrueMatch in plum for my blush and my Revlon mineral finish foundation as a highlight. The product review for today is for Neutrogena's Deep Clean cream cleanser. Now if you don't wear makeup or deal with acne this might not be a product that you absolutely need but I don't believe it will hurt if you did try it. The purpose of this product is to deep clean pores, dissolve dirt, oil and makeup. It removes dead skin cells that can dry, roughen or dull your complexion. Yes, this product will also clear up your complexion. I personally use this product when Im in a big hurry but I want and need that deep clean feeling. It leaves me feeling refreshed and my skin feeling extra soft. This is not a product that is in my normal skin regimen, I simply use it when needed. It is very easy and simple to use and washes away from the surface of your skin effortlessly. It is also a great product to take on the go if you work out or play sports. You can purchase this item at your local Walmart, Walgreens or CVS. It will run you about five to six dollars. So if you are looking for a refreshing pick me up for your skin, this is it. Enjoy.....

Makeup of the day......Green Smoky Eye (BH Cosmetics)

Today's makeup look was created with the Bh Cosmetics matte and neutral palettes. It is a green smoky Eye. It is one of my absolute favorites. I used a spring green out of the matte palette for the base of my eye lid. I used a dark brown from the neutral palette in the crease. Light tan was used for my highlight on my brow bone and a deep black on the outer crease to smoke it out. To add a little something to the look I lined my bottom lid with Rimmel's jungle green metallic kohl pencil. To complete the look I added black liner and mascara. For my foundation I used Revlon ColorStay in mocha, TrueMatch blush in plum and as a highlight I used Revlon's mineral foundation powder.
