Mary Kay eyeshadow review......

Let me first start off by saying, I AM NOT A MARY KAY REPRESENTIVE. So anything that is said in this blog post is my opinion. I am not trying to sell Mary Kay lol. So with that being said, this is my Mary Kay eyeshadow review. I've used quite a few Mary Kay products and of all of the ones I have used I must say that I am in love with the makeup remover and eyeshadows. I dont buy the products often but the few Mary Kay products that I do own, for the most part, I love. Not to mention, you can also purchase a cute little magnetic case for shadows, blushes and a lipgloss. So my morning look for today consisted of my Mary Kay palette. This was a very natural, neutral look because my palette consists of neutral colors. The good thing about Mary Kay is although the eyeshadows are a little pricey it is worth it because a little color goes a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way lol. When used with a primer the shadows last all day. But I DO recommend that you use some type of eyshadow primer. I prefer to wear brighter colors but when looking for a relaxed natural look, these eyeshadows were the perfect combination. I can say I give the shadows two thumbs up. If interested in catalogs, just let me know. I happen to know quite a few reps. Alright ladies enjoy.......

Fighting oily skin in summer heat? Check this out.....

Although summer isn't here yet the heat definitely is. Unfortunately, for my skin that creates a problem. With heat comes oil and with oil comes acne. Smh, I absolutely hate it. But a few years ago I started using astringent better known as toner. Not only does it reduce oil but it also prevents breakouts. Now true enough I dont really use it the way that I should (which two to three times a day) but with the amonut that I do use it, I see results. I can also see a big difference when I have missed a day or so. If you wear makeup this is definitely something that you must do. Soap and water wont cut it. Also depending on the soap you use it also sometimes leaves behind residue which can cause breakouts. Toner will get the residue of any left over soap, makeup, dirt and oil. So my recommendation is Neutrogena. They have one thats is called Clear Pore and another that is for sensitive skin. Its about five dollars a bottle but it is worth the money. You can pick up toner at basically any drug store and definitely Walmart. Please be sure to follow the directions on the back of the bottle to avoid overdrying your skin. Okay, now that you know you take the first step towards clear skin. Ladies enjoy........

Moon Rock palette(L.A Colors)

Today I tried another palette by L.A Colors that I purchased from the Dollar Tree. I used the Moon Rock palette and my application was different than yesterday. Also, today I did not use the shimmer stick as a base. The application still went on smoothly and Ive had the color on now for about 6 hours and it still looks the same as when I first put it on. It made a very nice smokey eye but Im not as in love with the color like I was yesterday. Its just a personal opinion. Right now Im into my bright colors and this wasn't it. It would make a nice evening look and once winter comes in I know it will be more than appropriate for the season. As far as the eyeshadow itself I have no complaints. As always you can view pics below and a tutorial on this look will be posted by in the morning. Channel is: Kingdom Beauty the tutorial is: Moon Rock palette. Ladies enjoy.........

Individual Lashes......

Today's blog is about false lashes. I've noticed that most people call the Ardell "flare" lashes individual when actually they are called "flare" lashes. These are the lashes that look like little fans. Today I decided that I would do actual individual lashes on myself. I have been wearing lashes consistently now for about 5 years. Once out of those 5 years have I ever worn individual lashes or strips. Flare lashes are my lashes of choice. But for the sake of doing something different I applied the individual ones today. Indidvidual lashes basically can be applied the same way you apply flare lashes. The only difference is the fact that the actual individual lashes look alot more natural. Now with any set of lashes that I wear I try my very best not to get them wet. This is not because they will come off but because they last longer. I wash around them and use make up wipes when removing make up. Also when it is time to change them out I dont pull them off I let them fall off as a way to protect my own lashes. Pulling and tugging on them will cause damage and balding to the eyelid. Not to mention the few lashes you have left will end up weak. The average person sheds and gets new lashes about every 4 weeks so if you let the false lashes grow with your own lashes within weeks they will fall off automatically. Mascara will be your friend throughout this process. My recommendations for supplies..... I always, always, always use Ardell DuraLash Naturals. Whether it be for flare, individual or strips. Also I use the Ardell lash adhesive(not hair glue). Not only is hair glue not good for your eye but I have also known several individuals who had allergic reactions from putting hair bonding glue on their eyes. For longer lasting results just use the lash adhesive that is designed for lashes. Anyway here are my before and after results below and for instructions on how to actually apply lashes visit my youtube page: kingdom beauty (simply put) and I believe that it is under lash tutorial. Southern Belle palette (L.A. Colors)

I picked up some shadows from the Dollar Tree yesterday. As promised I used them this morning for my tutorial. For the most part, this was a pretty easy look. I must say I absolutely love everything about these shadows. They are very pigmented and go on super smooth. Application was easy and unlike most shadows they didnt have much fall out. I am definitely planning on purchasing more of these colors. For one dollar you cant beat the quality of the colors. Although they are bright they actually look nice against dark skin.  This is a product "must have" recommendation. Here are pictures of the results below. Also a tutorial on how to acheive this look will be posted on youtube later tonight. Channel name: Kingdom Beauty(simply put)  Tutorial name: Southern Belle palette. Ladies enjoy........

L.A. Colors.......eyes

I will admit although I dont buy expensive makeup or eyeshadows on a regular basis, I dont buy cheap ones either. I dont really have a reason why but I have always been the type to frequent Walmart or Walgreens for majority of my makeup. Well today I went to the dollar tree and purchased some eyeshadows by L.A Colors. I havent actually used them on my eyes yet but I swatched them on my hands they were very pigmented. I plan to do a tutorial on one of the palettes tomorrow. They were only a dollar and they had a wide assortment of colors. So if you get the chance stop by your nearest Dollar Tree. Enjoy......
