I recently found out about, what I feel to be now, the best home remedy ever. One of my biggest struggles has always been oily skin. I hate doing my makeup and hours later it looks horrible because of oil. No matter how many cleansers I use or the amount of times I use them, its still a problem. So as a last resort I turn to a home remedy. Milk of magnesia. YES, THE LAXATIVE! I know it sounds crazy but it does actually work. I washed my face very thoroughly and applied my toner. Next I took the milk of magnesia and applied it all over my face. I did a very thin layer. I was a little confused because after I applied it it left white spots on certain areas of my face. I tried rubbing it in with a little water but that didn't really help anything. So anyway, instead of taking it off I applied my Revlon ColorStay foundation like I normally do. I finished the rest of my face and went to run errands. Came back, still no oil. I cleaned up, took a nap and did hair. Still no oil. I finished doing hair and got cleaned up and ready for bed (I did not wash my face). Still no oil. Now I can say it has been a whole 24 hours later and STILL NO OIL! Other than my lip gloss my face still looks the same way it did 24 hours ago when I did my makeup. Flawless. I kid you not. I know all of this sounds crazy but milk of magnesia is the perfect cure for oily skin. I got a huge bottle of it for like two dollars at the dollar store so I know it will last forever. And I need it to. I plan to use this everyday from now on. I will never buy another primer again lol. For a visual review please check out my Youtube channel, Kingdom Beauty(simply put), in a few hours. The tutorial will be Milk of Magnesia Review. Alright ladies enjoy.........................

Makeup of the Day....... Simple Life Sized Barbie Look.
Let me start by saying, I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was very simple and easy to achieve. I did very plain eyeshadow. I used a touch of light pink in the corner from the L.A. Colors' palette tiki punch. Then I applied a very plain brown to the rest of the lid and a dark brown in the crease. Just to give it some pop I added my L.A. Colors white pencil in the inner corner. I did apply strip lashes and I went heavy(as if I don't normally lol) on the gel liner. I also used my Revlon ColorStay foundation and my mineral powder for highlight. For my cheeks I went heavy on my spiced plum blush by TrueMatch. For my lips I used ELF's lipstain in birthday suit and lined my lips very lightly in MAC's nightmoth. For visual step by step instructions on how to do this look you can check out my Youtube channel, Kingdom Beauty(simply put), early tomorrow morning. The tutorial is Simple Life Sized Barbie. I do intend to do a more dramatic barbie look sometime next week for my Dramatic Look of the Week (I am skipping this week), when I do I will definitely post it. Well ladies enjoy.........
The LeRoyal Inspired Pink Lip....... Check This Out
So I know a lot of darker skinned women feel that they can't wear color on their lips. Well thats wrong! After seeing a picture that a friend of mine,LeRoyal, posted on her facebook, I was inspired to do a pink lip for darker skinned women. Well it just so happened that while shopping with my cousin I found one. So today's product thats being featured is the ELF Birthday Suit Lip Stain. I used this lip color to accent a "life sized barbie" tutorial that I did for Youtube today and I absolutely loved it. This look was fun and as a darker toned woman I think the pink lips brightened my whole face. Now, we cant just rush out and buy ANY shade pink but its official, we definitely can wear A shade of pink. This lip stain was only one dollar at the dollar tree and was pretty long lasting. My only complaint is that it left an aggravaing ring on the inside of my lips. But Im pretty sure I can tweek that. To use this product please be sure to apply the stain first. Let it dry for about thirty seconds and apply another coat. Once that dries, apply the lipgloss. Without the gloss it will have a very dry look and thats not attractive on any complexion lol. So all my darker skinned women, summer is almost here. Bring it in with a bang with pink lips. Enjoy..........

Makeup Look of the Day....BH Cosmetics (Gold,Red and Brown)
Today's makeup look for the day is actually yesterday's makeup so you might see two different postings. For this look I used all three of my BH Cosmetics palettes. The gold that was used on the inner corner of the eye was out of the shimmer 88 palette. The red in the middle was out of the 88 matte palette and the dark brown on the end was out of the neutral 28 palette. I used my groundwork paint pot by MAC for a base. Sonia Kashuk gel liner to line my eyes. For the first time I tried to use strip lashes. LOL that was a trip within itself. For some reason(I'm thinking it was the lighting) this look didn't show up well in pictures but the look was very pretty when it was completed. The colors were a lot brighter than they appear. I came to the conclusion after this look that gold shadow also looks very nice on darker skin. I really enjoyed this look. If you are interested in step by step instructions on this look, please visit my Youtube channel, Kingdom Beauty(simply put). The tutorial is BH Cosmetics(Gold, Red and Brown). Enjoy.......
Protect Your Hair and Extend the Lifespan of your Weave &Wigs.....
Whether it be your natural hair, relaxed hair or a weave, when using heat on your hair it is very important to protect it. Today's product review is Redken's Smooth Down heat glide. The most important thing when flat ironing or curling your hair is making sure that you use protectant. Reason being is any type of heat use strips your hair of moisture. Dry hair is unhealthy hair. Dry hair will appear damaged even when its not. So to keep your tresses beautiful take the correct measures to protect them. Redken Smooth Down is a wonderful product to use to keep your soft and glowing. It can also be using on weaves to restore shine and extend lifespan of the hair of style. The best thing about this product is that it does not leave build up and will not weigh hair down. Redken Smooth Down can be found in most salons. I usually purchase mine at any one of the Smart Style salons in Walmart. Price runs about sixteen dollars a bottle but if used correctly it will last about six months. So its well worth the price. A review video of the this product will be available on my Youtube channel. The channel is Kingdom Beauty(simply put). The tutorial is Redken Smooth Down review. Ladies enjoy....................

Want to Know the #1 Beauty Secret of All Time? Check this out.........
I know, I know they are replaying your favorite show again at 12 tonight. I know you really want to see it but you might want to think again. Studies show that sleep is the number one beauty secret of all time. Skipping naps and lack of sleep has an effect on your appearance in more ways than one. Aside from just looking tired, not getting enough sleep can cause bags under your eyes, loss of hair, bloodshot eyes, worn skin and wrinkles. Our bodies are designed to get an average of eight to twelve hours of sleep per day. Now I know that sounds crazy because of our work schedules, kids, church and the rest of that long list of things to do, but we cant afford not to sleep. The recommended minimum is eight hours so try your best to get that. Getting plenty of rest will not only help you now but it will save you money on anti-aging and wrinkle creams later. You will see a major difference in your appearance and feel a difference in your body. I don't mind being sleeping beauty lol! Enjoy..........
